The main character of the film is a black-skinned lawyer Brian Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan). He devoted his whole life to the search for justice. Especially in cases when the most vulnerable sections of the population were harassed. The case of Walter Macmillian (Jamie Foxx) falls into his hands. This is a dark-skinned man who worked hard for years and raised nine children with his wife. He is accused of murder, despite the fact that at the time of his commission, Walter was in a public place in the company of friends.
