The movie follows the true story of the first two African American bankers in the United States. In the 50s, an atmosphere dominated by strong racial prejudice. Bernard Garrett and Joe Morris, two skilled African American entrepreneurs, decide to buy several real estate properties. To avoid problems with institutions, the two appoint a working-class white man, Matt Steiner, who will take care of their business, while the two pretending to be the driver and the other caretaker, will continue to work incognito to increase their real estate empire.
